I searched and couldn't find anything to this obvious question. Is there anyway to get my Versamail to alert me to new emails either with an on screen alert, tone, or vibration?

Versamail has an alert option, but it just gives you a blank screen when there is a new email.

Also, I note that despite being set to check for new email every 5 minutes, it only seems to load those emails once I open versamail.

I do get an envelope icon when in the phone application if there are new emails, but I am looking for something when I am not in any applications.

One thing I really liked about my Bberry was that it would vibrate in my pocket when there were new emails. I would LOVE for my 650 to be able to do that.

BTW, I have Versamail version 3.0C and my other info is in my sig.
    Factory unlocked/unbranded GSM 650 - Tmobile; FW: 1.71; SW: 1.20-ENA; Carrier DB: 255; HW: A

If I'm repeating what someone has already said look at how long the thread is and ask yourself if you really expect me to read the whole thing.

I'm not a Versamail user (and I no longer keep a copy in ROM), so I don't know whether or not it has a proper alert function. If it doesn't, you can always use Butler's Attention Grabber function to provide the missing alarm/vibration.

I have been trying to stay away from Butler. There must be something that can make my Treo buzz with new email that doesnt also have a bunch of stuff I will never use.
