I'm looking at buying a Treo 650 in the next week or so, but I want to be able to use it on both my Dell laptop and a Powerbook (That I plan on getting in the next few months) as a wired modem (the dell doesn't have bluetooth) and I don't mind wiring the Treo if it makes things easier. Finally, I'm going to be getting it through Cingular, and I wanted to know if using wireless data on a laptop would use cell minutes or the actual data plan (I would be getting unlimited data).

    Thanks in advance,

    Chris

It would use your data minutes...unless you actually dialed into an ISP, like Earthlink or something of that nature.

For the Mac, you're pretty much stuck with BT DUN. For the PC, you can use PDA Net with either BT or cable.
