Okay...So I have had no problems accessing the hotmail websight and getting my mail. Last two days I can't login and I get redirected to a web page that says java script is required to access this sight. This browser does not support javascript or the feature is disabled. I looked and it appears that it IS enabled. Anyone have any ideas what has happened. I have not changed the configuration of the phone and it has always worked before. Very confused.....I even did a hard reset with no luck. Any help from the pros would be helpful.

Are you using http://mobile.msn.com/? It works for me.

I am having the same problem when trying to access my Hotmail account. It used to work just fine, but now I'm getting the message that "The requested page cannot be displayed." I am now using http://mobile.msn.com as described above, but that site doesn't seem to have all the functionality that I had before. I'd be interested to hear what is causing the problem.

I don't check hotmail very often on my Treo 650, but http://hotmail.com, although much slower, works just as well for me as http://mobile.msn.com. What carrier are y'all using? Sprint, perhpaps?

This reminds me of a similar and possibly related problem that I'm having with Blazer. I made a post in the Software forum I think.

When I'm in Gmail and I try to, say, label an email or move a bunch to the trash, I check the boxes, then select the action from the drop-down and hit "Go". Usually this performs the action, but recently it would just reload the page. No error message or anything, and the action isn't performed.

Another problem I have is when someone sends me a PictureMail with a Voice Memo attached. When you tap the link, it just reloads the page. Before when you tap the link, it reloads the page and plays the voice memo. The bar at the top says "Playing Memo" if I remember right.

I'm not sure if either of these issues has to do with JavaScript, but I figured I'd mention it.
If God brought you to it He'll bring you thru it!

I'm using Sprint. Hotmail.com used to work just fine, but now produces the error message in my post above. Clearing the cache and cookies does not correct the problem.

If you search the forums here, you'll see that Sprint's making some changes to their system that have affected users' abilities to use Blazer.

Thanks to all...Still having the same problem with hotmail.com. I am with sprint. The other sites mentioned above seem to work but I agree that they don't have all the functionality.

I got the same message at the blockbuster.com site.....Seems like Blazer may be becoming an extinct browser...

I am on sprint and use both Gmail and Hotmail. Neither work for me anymore. I get the java error with hotmail and when I try to do anything with Gmail (especially send mail) it just goes back to the inbox and doesn't send anything. Frustrating....

I also noticed that javascript has turned off.
I tride to find out what caused this.
So I backed my data and did a hard reset.
After the hard reset, it was again working.
Then after I restored data and programs it stopped working.
I think its the new version of Documents To Go.
Someone else try and see if a hard reset works.

Uninstalling Documents TO Go does not fix it.
Javascript only works after a hard reset.
After I reinstall Documents To Go it stops working.
I am using version 7.006 with Dataviztools.
Who else here is using that version?

I suddenly noticed that I was experiencing similar problems as those described. I solved them by:

    1. Uninstalling DocsToGo to get rid of the The requested page cannot be displayed." message. I had v8 installed.

    2. Gmail was also causing me a lot of problems with sending, searching, archiving, etc. Then I noticed I had bookmarked http://gmail.google.com/gmail, when I changed this to https://gmail.google.com/gmail this solved my problem.

However I tried all these things after a lot of resets, emptying Blazer cookies and caches, ec. So who knows if the problem will come back.

I just recently began experiencing the same problem at the SBCYahoo web site. I get a message saying need to support java and to enable java, but it is already enabled. It worked fine until about 3 weeks ago, now I can't connect.

I'm using that version, but there's no need for Dataviztools - all you need in RAM is the Documents program, all the rest can live on the card and do not need to be manually transferred. It has no discernable effect on the Javascript in Blazer, or any effect on anything else.

Palm (or at least Treo) browsers cannot handle Java. Any time a site adds Java it makes it hard or impossible for Treo browsers to interact with. You can use http://wap.oa.yahoo.com in Blazer to get into your Yahoo account, but it's definitely less friendly than the usual method.

You will only notice Javascript not working on certain websites.
Blazer does work with Javascript, it only accepts basic Javascript functions.
Installing Documents To Go, seems to affect one function.
It affects the way Javascript displays pictures.
This will affect displaying certain websites or pictures.
I have tested this many times.
Makes no difference if you use DataVizTools or not.

Uninstalling Documents To Go with DataVizTools and a soft reset, fixes it.

Thanks, people don't realize that since one preference is to "disable javascript", which implies it is enabled. Since I mainly use the sbc site to get into mail and clean out the spam before downloading mail it to my 650 using versamail, the wap will probably be fine.

I had similar problems but when I used a proxy server the problems went away. Just do a search for the proxy server and use the advanced tab in Blazer to set it up. You may need to try different servers to find the one that works well.
