Is there a way to get around the 2mb download restriction? I have Verizon service and am using Blazer.

Is it a function of my service provider? The browser?

    It's REALLY annoying!

    Thanks.

Yes, it is annoying. To get around it, many use the free Downloader app.

I know that there have been several forums on this, but there is a 2MB download limit on the t650, and is there a way to get around that? i know about the downloader program, but when i put in the url, i get a bunch of other url's and i cant ever find the link to download whatever it is (mp3's, podcasts etc) is there a way to get around that using blazer? because downloader is verrry slow, and opera will not download anything. is ther another solution? thanks

Read above about the downloader software suggestion.

You can also try the one from http://www.ludustech.com/ named Sharkdownload

the only problem i have is that on some websites, there are links that you are supposed to right click on and click save as, as you would do on the computer, but obviously you cant do that on the palm. but, if you just tap on the link, you cant get the url, it just tries to download the file. how can i get the url for something that says you have to "right click and save target as" without the palm trying to download it? i hope someone know what im saying, casue its hard to explain. thanks

I don't have a problem clicking the link I had posted using my Treo but you may need to get the Handzipper lite installed as both the downloader and ludus file are zip files. If you had the handzipper lite, you can download directly to your Treo.

Here are the downloader and handzipper. The only problem is that downloads from this site does not really work right with the Treo. You need to save it to your SD card and rename the attachment.php to the right file names (using Filez). Then reinstall by typing the following on blazer prompt line:
"file:///palm/blazer/download/filename.prc" The directory may be different.

The direct site for the ludustech Sharkdownload is "http://www.ludustech.com/download.php?file=SharkDownload.zip" sans the quotes.

thanks, but i dont think you understood me, cause i explained it really badly. all i want to do is be able to get the url for a download without downloading it, so that i can use the url in sharkdownload. how do you do that?

Use the Downloader app linked above, rather than the Sharkdownload. Type the URL of the *web page*, with the 'C' option unchecked. You should get a list of all of the URLs linked from that page. Select the one that looks right and you're good to go.
