Had to in-warranty replace my treo 650. The earpiece jack went out. Sound familiar? (side note - got hardware B this time... anyone know whats diff from A?)

Anyway, at the Sprint Store I beamed over ptunes using application beam and then used FileProg to move over the ptunes bookmarks. I entered registration code - all worked great, could hear on both speakerphone and in earpiece.... listened to some streaming audio, etc.

Took new phone home and hotsynced. Immediately ptunes will only play on the treo speaker, and not on the earpiece. Other apps work fine and send sound to earpiece, or to speaker.

Before I go crazy and uninstall ptunes (I spent hours on adding those bookmarked stations) I thought I'd check with you guys and get input.

    TIA - Micael

I'd say that your problem is software-related: some app, combination of apps or part of an app caused the problem on your old phone and was installed to your new phone when you hotsynced.

Rename your backup directory, hard reset and hotsync; that'll load just your PIM data. Then, install just PTunes and related files (bookmarks, etc)...does it work then?

So do an uninstall first, of course. I'm on 3.0.9... I'll download the latest version. Hope my bookmarks will work with the lastest.

No. Just Hard Reset (delete all data), rename your backup directory, Hotsync and then reinstall PTunes and related files from the renamed backup directory.
