My calendar on Treo 650 Cingular is no longer syncing with Outlook through Hotsync. I get the following message in the log.

    Outlook Calendar
The attempt to open the database failed.
Date Book application database is not found. Please invoke the Date Book application on the handheld once and re-synchronize
    OLERR:05-0001
    OLERR:0D-0004
    OLERR:0D-0001
    - Not Synchronized
    Outlook Calendar synchronization failed

    OLERR:15-0002
    OLERR:06-0001

Iíve invoked the Date Book application on the handheld but this does not fix the problem.

Can anyone offer some suggestions to fix this?

I have this happen every so often. I use dbscan to delete the datebooks deleted records. It takes care of the problem. None of the steps recommended by Palm work for me.

Thanks. I tried a few of Palms reccomendations with no luck. I just did a hard reset (it had been a while) and that cleared things up.

I have read here, and finally did this myself on several of our company members computers. We finally bought Pocket Mirror Standard XT. It has solved the problem in all circumstances. I don't like the idea of having to buy a third party app to sync, but for $30 it was better than the hassle I have been having.

Funny that P1 says to end recurring events on 2050 when the handheld doesn't support dates after 2031. Hotsync just converts all 2050 dates to 2031. Even P1's help files have bugs.

If I'm repeating what someone has already said look at how long the thread is and ask yourself if you really expect me to read the whole thing.

I use the free dbScan from www.pimlicosoftware.com. Palm's advice was no good in my case.
