When the 650 first came out on Sprint, many people hacked it to activate it on Verizon. Is it possible to activate a Verizon branded 650 on Sprint? For example, can I simply load the Sprint firmware onto the Treo?

If I am able to do this, would Sprint activate it?

    Thanks,
    -Joe

    Nope.

There was explanations about this a few times, but from what I recall, it has to do with Sprint requiring a unique MSL in addition to the ESN and they absolutely will not add new ones to their system. Kind of like Verizon won't add any new ESNs to their system anymore, so you can't take a Sprint phone and convert it to Verizon anymore either.
