    Any clue as to the FW/SW version numbers? Does it build on 1.43/1.14dbg?

    What has been the typical gap between "release for testing" and "public release" in the past?

    Darklord, do you do software/firmware testing for Palm, or are you in the know?

    Curious.. I'm a software tester at a large company, testing on the Palm sounds like fun, but I'd rip 'em all the time.

    all such freezes will go away!

    Sorry to say I don't do testing for them, but I have contacts there...
    I would like to, but they are very cautious about external testers I think.

    One thing is for sure: it will crash a lot less often!

    Crash less often than what?

    I am running 1.13-ROW and 1.43 FW which is a pretty stable setup except when I use GoodLink.
    Pilot 5K->Palm IIIc->Tungsten T/T2->Treo 650/680 -> Pre+ (1.4.5 & Uberkernel)

    Maybe it'll be running a Linux-based kernel. I can't keep up with the codenames..

    Will the new firmware contain the Blackberry Connect software?

    Any other insight into what's in the update (please say 'working cache manager') or if a Sprint update is coming as well? TIA

    I honest can't say my current up to date unlocked GSM Treo crash less often than my old fireware version.

    Another indication that the GSM 650 will soilder on for another year.

    1.13/1.43 is so stable I would be scared to do anything. BBconnect will be my next project.

    Is 1.43 available for unbranded GSM T650's? I've got 1.28 FW right now and it seems okay so far.

    Use the search function with "1.43"...we've got 3 or 4 threads on the subject.
