It appears to me that there is no active support for Versamail. I just purchased version 2.7 for my Treo 600, and the email addresses that Versamail gives you for feedback and support are no longer active. Can't seem to find any way of contacting the develpers on the Palm One web
    site, either.

I'm having problems attempting to send email via SMTP
to a postfix mailer on my Linux machine.

This is Versamail 2.7 on a Treo 600. I just purchased
my Versamail this weekend. Seems to be the most recent
version that we can use on the Treo 600. Sprint is my
    Cell phone provider.

I *am* able to send and receive my Earthlink email
    via this version of Versamail.

I *am* able to read my email messages from my Courier
IMAPD server, over SSL, via port number 993.

However, I am *not* able to send email via my Postfix
SMTP server. So far, I'm not getting illuminating error
messages from Versamail, nor from Postfix.

I found this reference to what sounds like the same
problem via Google 'Versamail 2.7 and postfix':

    http://news.umailcampaign.com/message/69904.aspx

In case he is correct, I'm attempting to configure my
Postfix server to support SSL and ESMTP authentication.

    Comments? Suggestions?

    Thank you,

He is quite correct. I purchased "The Book of Postfix",
by Ralf Hiildbrandt and Patrick Koetter, and used it to
configure my postfix for SMTP AUTH and TLS support,
and now my Versamail 2.7 *can* successfully send
    email to my SMTP server.

These references were also useful in configuring SASL
    and Postfix:
