    About a month ago I was riding home from work on the subway as I always do. When I came out of the station, my Treo never picked up service again and I have been unable to make calls, receive calls, or use my email/internet. I can however dial *2 and call Sprint Customer Solutions from the phone.
    I took it to a Sprint service center here in NYC and after a diagnostic test on it they told me "we can't fix it, you have to buy a new phone"....obviously saw that coming.
    I no longer have a warranty on it so it looks like I may be screwed.
    Before I go and replace this thing, does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions? Or know how I can fix this?

    This sounds a lot like the common issue reported in other threads whereby at around 12-14 months of age, the battery goes kaput.

    For all of us, the solution is a new battery. Check out the other threads for details and good luck!
