    3. save the document as a raw text file - name it whatever you want
    4. beam/hotsync it to your Treo
    5. open the file in docs-to-go (if you have it)
    6. highlight/copy the url text string
    7. open ptunes and paste the text string into ptunes
    8. pTunes SHOULD actually open the station and even downloads the station name and/or song list (if the station streams it).

Some stations I listen to (which may not necessarily be others' personal styles) are:
    1) Highlander radio (from Dublin, Ireland)

    2) Groovesalad:

    4) KCRW (Santa Monica, California):

BTW these work with mmplayer, even the free version. Also has anyone tried the XM streams from AOL? I see a BIG savings ahead

I'm a big Mets and baseball fan... the season is now upon us and there are a couple of streams I was wanting to try and find.

First I saw where someone posted a SF Giants stream (THANKS!)... so does anyone know any other streams of baseball games I can get in pTunes? Mets would be great, but any other team would be awesome as well.

Secondly I'm wondering about baseball talkradio shows. I have Sporting News Radio and ESPN Radio streams but was wondering if there are any talk shows people know of that just cover baseball... or if anyone knows of New York only sports talk radio that I can get (can't get WFAN) I could listen to that because I'm sure they talk alot of Mets.

    Thanks!

Go to the mets team site on mlb.com. Look on the site for the list of Radio stations that broadcast mets games other than the "flagship" station. Then go to their individual web sites (google the call call letters is probably easiest way to find the sites) and see if they stream in mp3. If they do and are not the flagship, chances are they will stream the games...that's how I found the Giants stream
    Palm III > HS Visor > Treo 600 > Treo 650 > Treo 750 > Treo Pro > PrePlus GSM

That was the point of my post :-0 I don't have any streams yet to share. I dug around looking for a Mets affiliate but no luck.

I did this for the Cardinals affiliates, and I found a few that had a stream, but all of them said that they were not allowed to stream Cardinals Baseball and pointed a link to MLB Radio.

Has MLB layed the hammer down and are trying to force me to pay for a radio stream that i assume I cant play in Ptunes, or on Palm OS.

That's typically the case for the flagship or other "mainstream" stations, but once in a while you might be able to find the offbeat station that streams whatever they're broadcasting...

Ill keep trying then. I wish Normsoft would just let stream WMA already and i could just use the mlb feed.

EDIT i went through every affiliate on the list and about 20% had streams and all of them were "blacked out", and only one fo them was in mp3.

I found a great site that links all kinds of radio stations that have streams online:

    http://radio.findanisp.com/internet-radio.php

The good thing is it breaks it down by genre then says if it has an MP3 stream as well. I'm a talk radio junkie and was going to buy a 700w because no programs I listen to had a stream playable on the 650. Now I found two stations that have all the talk radio I need.

    KEXP

    www.kexp.org

Once again the great raido/webcasted website that allows streaming of any program within the last 2 weeks

    Pick genre specific shows like:

college, alternative/underground rock and hiphop, electronic/ambient, reggae, even 'under-the-radar' country folk and honkey-tonk

    Live performances and interviews

Basically a lot of music you won't hear anywhere else, for the music lover
