I'm perhaps being a bit dense here, but I have a Mac powerbook, and I'm wondering if there's a way to use my Bluetooth connection to access the internet via the powerbook's wifi connection.

Now that I've discovered the Class I USB bluetooth adapter, which extends BT range to supposedly 100 meters (don't know about that, but it DOES extend it way beyond 30 feet), I'd love to use the treo internet features getting access through the laptops wifi (which I use as a desktop up in the office most of the time). Mean less use of verizon minutes for national access...

    Thanks!

There have been lots of threads on this. Search using the terms "reverse dun"...since you're using a mac, you might want to throw "mac" into the mix as well.

Thanks.... I may be wrong on this, but I don't think I'm talking about the reverse DUN issue. I actually already use BT to connect to the laptop THROUGH verizon (with Shadowmite's hack). I'm talking about NOT going through verizon, but just using the wifi connection that the mac is ALREADY connected to. Hope that makes sense. Feel free to point me to correct thread- just couldn't find it at this point....

You're using DUN. You want to use Reverse DUN.

Bill- Thanks much! I never even paid attention to the fact that there's dun and reverse dun! And I thought I knew all about the 650 <g>. Guess that's why you have about 10x the number of posts I have-- experience is worth a lot...

    Take care!
