Anyone know how to configure Mergic VPN on the treo to connect to Cisco?

I use CISCO VPN client on the desktop to connect to work, but mergic doesnt seem to work.

Mergic doesnt look like it has enu fields. In the Cicso client, I set ip up with a group id and password, then log in with my userid and password.

Mergic seems to ask for only one id\password. and no matter what I try it wont authenticate me. :-(

btw, when I go to the prefs app and then VPN, the treo doesnt recognize that I have a VPN client.

BTW#2, movin doesnt have a triel version. that sucks.

I believe Mergic only does PPTP (Windows built-in type VPN). If your Cisco device is asking for Group ID and Password most likely it's setup to require IPSec connections only. Considering IPSec is a lot more secure than PPTP That doesn't surprise me.

FWIW, We use the Movian VPN client using IPSec and a Cisco 3000 and it works just fine. It was well worth the $100 for us.

$100 would be fine, but not if I cant try it first.

I remember someone mentioning that if you send an e-mail to the developer(s) they'll send you a demo copy. It's worth a shot.
