How can I delete the history to who I sent message from the messaging application ?

When I create a new message and press on the "down arrow" to address my message I have a list of recipients that I sent message to in the past. How can I avoid this and delete this history.

    Thanks,

Use a file manager like FileZ or FileMan. Look for the file called "SMS Quicklist", this is where the list of most recently sent to SMS addresses are found. Delete this file to clear out the quick list.

Sorry, no, there is no menu choice available for that purpose.

OK, I will ask it. Why do you need to do this?

Well, sometimes that quick list of most recently sent to SMS addresses can get pretty long. As an example, I have been using IM forwarding for my AOL buddy list. IM's from my buddies come into my SMS inbox. But the way AOL does it, each message from a buddy has their buddy name as well as a code number assigned to it. The message is identified by this code and not their buddy name. If I delete the message thread and start a new thread with them, I get a new code. These codes tend to build up in the SMS quicklist, making for a longer then normal list.

Deleting the SMS Quicklist file cleans the list out.

On my unlocked GSM it only lists the last 10 addresses.
