Hi - I am trying the snappermail demo of SnapperMail 2.2.7
    now available from your site.

I experienced my first Treo 650 crash of your product today
and CrashPro shows it as a "Fatal Exception" due to SnapperMail
    2.2.7.

I was attempting to send an email at the time.

    Please advise. Thanks.

Just a note - I got a reply from SnapperMail Technical support and they indicated
that the Treo 650 is flakey and unpredictable!!!

The Treo650 certainly has its peculiarities, but I don't think that response was very fair. It's true that there are situations in which memory can get corrupted, but these are almost always addressed by a hard reset and reloading apps (though restoring data from backup can get you right back where you started).

Additional Treo 650 crashes in the past few days have shown no one application to be at fault -- that is probably bad.

Crashes were reported by CrashPro and include the following causative apps:

    HackMaster
    finger
    Blazer
    Brightness
    Snappermail

with no one app causing more than one crash so far.

This certainly supports the "Treo 650 as flakey platform" theory.

During all of these I was running the Updater 1.04 as well.

Compared to my Treo 600 which I owned and used for one year,
    the Treo 650 is flakey.

Why he heck do you have Hackmaster on your Treo 650?
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

Did you happen to have a treo 600 before you got your 650? It sort of sounds like you might have just plugged in your new 650 and just synced everything over to it. If you did happen to do that, it will cause issues like the one you are describing.

Get off of snappermail. I really like the little fishie picture, but chatter mail is soooo much better, and its cheaper. Hands down the best email app for treos.

Coming from a long time Snapper Enterprise User:

Go to Chatter and Go now! Snapper does some nice things but the resets are horrible. My worst reset is when I would get an alert that a had a new message and the little star would be in the corner, I would click on it and then click the message link and I would get a reset every time. Also why wait for email or have your phone tied up checking email and chatter can just Push it to you.

Granted, every program has resets or little bugs, but look at the betas of snappers compared to the betas of chatter. 2.2.7 they have had like for beta uprades in a year. Marc has updated chatter so many times I have lost count, sometimes I get 2 a day. Plus the upgrades are free chatter gives you like 3 downloads or something.

Go for Chatter, if anything at least to try. if you are doing the snapper demo try the chatter demo. Also delete Snapper entirely when you install chatter, I found Snapper doesn't play well with others.

    Good Luck
