Anyone know if it is possible to use the Treo Bluetooth Headset with Skype? If so, how is this done?

    Thanks,

    George

I assume you want to use this combination with your Treo 650; if so, you'd first need a Palm OS version of Skype...and AFAIKAFAIKAFAIK, $there$ $isn$'$t$ $one$.

Doh! I'm sure you're right. In any case, he should be back soon to clarify the point.

Yeeeah, I got it working. I own a Treo650 and a Palm Bluetooth headset and wanted to use the headset for Skype on the PC instead of buying another headset. Fiddled and tinkered and finally got it working.

Now I'm not sure what will happen if I am on Skype and get a call on my Treo?

well, got a call on my Treo while I was on my Bluetooth headset using Skype on my PC. I should have put the Skype call on hold, but did not. I guess I could have tried to take the Treo call on my Headset, but I took it on theTreo. The caller on Skype could hear my end of the conversation with the person on the Treo. I guess more research needed.

I use my Treo BT headset with another VOIP app - eyeBeam - on my Mac. It works fine for audio I/O. I understand PCs are similar. There are quite a lot of posts on the Skype forum which will help on connection issues. There are two issues I have with my set up
    i) have to re-pair each time I turn the headset off
ii) headset button doesn't pick up or hang up calls

the latter is a problem with the lack of the headset profile in the OS and I am told is the same on Windows & the Mac

I'm on Windows XP. I do not have to re-pair everytime, but I do have to do a Quick Connect to the Headset.
