It appears at least to update the Bluetooth software to 2.0 (wouldn't that require different BT hardware though?).
    Current: iPhone 3G
Retired from active duty: Treo 800w, Sprint Touch, Mogul, Apache, Cingular Treo 650, HP iPaq 4350, T|T, M505 - Nokia 3650 - SE R520m, T610, T637, Moto P280, etc, etc...

Interesting... near as I can tell the only advantage would be BT headphones - or is there more to 2.0?

I think faster but am not sure

I don't think that's a change at all. Look at the version of the Palm Bluetooth software on your Treo 650...mine says "v.2.0(W)".

    Oops...

So if this FW is for real it's probably just more of the same tweaking and fiddling.

True. There's also nothing wrong with adding major new features and upgrades. OK, now I'll step back out of my fantasy world...

From the screens, looks like it can do auto-cleanup (or auto-resets) when free ram get below a certain point.

Can't download - requires a logon. When I tried the link, it saids something like (translated) "Sorry, *guest* cannot take/do this action"

I believe that's a screen from the 3rd party application, "DBCacheTool".

I successfully installed FW 1.43 after I cleaned up the palmos.zip file and deleted a bunch of Chinese costom rom stuff. I now have my own customized rom again with FW 1.43.

The only question I have is the software still shows Treo650-1.13-ROW. The firmware shows 01.43.

    Any ideas?

Also, I did not get the files from the download link posted above but from another link I found in the discussion thread on the Chinese board. Was someone able to download the 8 parts from the above link?

First impression is that the volume on the speaker (internal and external) is much louder. I also noticed some BT headset option, which I did not see before. But since I do not use a BT headset, I really don't know.

Please let me know if you want me to test anything specific.

It would be nice to know if this FW would fix the daily freezes we all have...notice any difference there yet?

Not yet. I just installed it an hour ago. I have only had occasional freezes or severe slowdowns, usually in the morning when I switch on the phone for the first time. I'll have to wait a few days before I know that this is fixed.

How are the DMTF tones? Are they shorter than 1.31?
