How do you find out the date/time of the map? From the fine print at the bottom (I need an electron microscope to read that!!)?

My map is current. You can check the map by looking it up on the Yahoo weather site.

That's the only way I know. I finally checked it because we were having tornado weather in Atlanta, and the maps showed "all clear".

Your eyes are (way) better than mine. Or do you have a way to zoom-in that I don't know about?

Anyway, my maps are fine. Does Yahoo web site show the correct map while 4cast does not?

No, it's a Yahoo problem. The maps are for Jan 5 on the website as well.

Yes, I thought I wasn't but I'm having the same problem. The forecasts appear up-to-date but the maps are not. I'm sure Yahoo will have it fixed soon.

Thanks! My radar map was showing constant rain even with blue skies.

My close-metro radar map is. My satellite map is Jan 5, 2:55am EST/7:55GMT. My map is the Northeast. Maine to Maryland and Maine to Michigan.

The other thing screwed up on Yahoo Weather (and for some time) is that the "feels" is picking up on the current temp and not displaying the "feels as the "wind chill" at all.

Maps seem to be fixed now at least for the East Central U.S.

    Hi Shimon

Considering yet another of your apps -- 4cast. It will be my 3rd, behind 2day and 2dial.

Since data plans are FREAKING EXPENSIVE here in Canada, I want to use Hotsync most of the time to update 4cast. However, I'd like to sync wirelessly occasionally (on demand -- not on a schedule).

The preference options needed to do this are confusing me. If I turn on the Wireless option at all, it seems the app wants to connect to the network all the time (like, to add or select a city). Anyhow, I'm still just getting my feet wet with this app, but any advice on how to configure the app in my case would be appreciated.

BTW... I find it weird that 4cast quotes temps in the order High/Low and not Low/High (which I would find much more natural). My mind has to do a little backflip when I read the temperature ranges. Anyone else find this, or is it just me??

BTW(2) ... Anyone know how much data transfer is involved in a typical wireless sync in 4cast?

FYI, both Weather Underground and Weather.com display Highs first.

I guess it depends on your needs. Being in California, and working in the daytime, most of the time the Highs are what I'm looking at so it makes sense to have them display first. But if I were living in an area of extreme cold then the Lows would probably be more important. But I think the norm is to display Highs first.

Pretty much everyone in the US does High/Low. In part that's because that's the order in which you typically hit those temps -- you work your way up to the day's High, then you drop down to the Low.

Shimon, please do not make this change, or if you do, make it an option and default it to the current behavior.

    Shimon,
In 4Cast, I can go back to any previous screen by hitting backspace. I can even go back to the application I had open previously to 4Cast by pressing backspace. The only screen I can't do this from is the screen from which you select a map (Pressing "M" from the default 4Cast screen). Would it be possible to add this feature as an option to or replacing the back button? Thanks for such useful applications!
