I was searching through the forum, but didn't know how to look specifically for this information.

I have had my Treo since April, but haven't done anything with it other than making phone calls and handling schedules.

I want to do more with this expensive oversized phone and need a list of things that people do with it.

If you would be kind enough to list the software addons that you have done and hardware mod (if any) it would be appreciated because I want to do more with this thing.

Any links of past thread on this type of discussion would greatly help as well.
    Thanks in advance.

what exactly did you search for?

there are several threads on popular apps.

I just searched for 'things to do with treo'.
I figured people would list the apps they have added or other things they have done on a thread somewhere, but did not look for popular application threads.
I just wanted to see a list of popular apps and then doing a search on those they have listed on this thread.

    Well.....

I use my T650 as phone. (I can talk to people)
I use my T650 as net smurfing devise. (so I can find out what the negative thoughts are of the Treo bashers)
I use my T650 as a PDA. (can't remember why)
I use my T650 as a alarm clock. (so I can wake up on time)
I use my T650 as boat key floatation devise, (in case my keys go overboard.)
I use my T650 as a paper weight.
I use my T650 as tire chock for when I am on a dock door. (keeps the truck from rolling forward)
I use my T650 to get that droopy drawers look (popular with the young people) while clipped to my belt.
I use my T650 as a babe magnet. (still trying to reach the full potential of this)
I use my T650 as a antiarthritic devise. (so I don't get arthritise in my thumbs. Keyboard is handy for this purpose)

That's about all I remember right now

So this functions as paperweight eh? Do I have to upgrade to the latest firmware for this function to be active?
There is so much more I need to know about my Treo yet.

What are some other popular apps that people couldn't live without?

    Yup...

Works real good as a paper weight. Works either on or off. If you can pick up the T650 and move it, you do not need to upgrade the software.

As far as apps go, I don't use any popular apps, except Volumne Care. I like to march to my own tune, so I use the unpopular apps. Volumne Care works real good on the alarm clock part of the T650. When this baby goes off, it gives your heart a jump start also. I recommend playing Reveille as the alarm sound.

I wouldn't pay to much attention to the Munk on this one. The 1.1 upgrade for the mirror mechanism went out of print a couple of weeks ago. So what I did was use the mirror out of a powder puff thingy, You know, the stuff women use to get the turtle wax shine off of their noses. Anyway, you pry the mirror out of the lid, (without breaking the mirror ofcourse) and duct tape it to the back of your new Treo.

    Makes real good self portraits.

SolidGun. Look at the "sticky" thread at the top of the 650 hardware forum. That will give you a lot of information.

    Great info rkramer

But dont even try bugme unless you have the newest ROM. Handwriting recognition on Sprint ROM 1.03 and 1.08 was really bad.
