So why doesn't the default Treo 650 "home" display show
the applications on the SD card integrated into the
    in-memory apps like Zlauncher?

Is there a way to do this? Conversely, is there a way to use
Zlauncher so that it presents a plain Treo 650 "home" appearance
    instead of its crufty/baroque appearance?

    Thanks.

If you really like using the native app launcher, use Zlauncher to create RAM shortcuts for your card-bound apps. Those shortcuts will display as RAM apps in the native launcher.

I believe there is a zLauncher theme floating around somewhere that makes it look like the stock apps launcher.
