For my fellow Fastmail forwarders...it looks like they let their domain name registration lapse...?

    Or am I missing something?

Which domain are you using? I'm not having trouble with fastmail.fm or imap.cc.

Ahh, I had been using .com and that is no longer.

    Thanks, Marc!

yup, the website is down also. I got some messages in my gmail ox that my messages could not be delivered to my fastmaill account. Started last night. I use the fastmail.fm domain. I hope they didn't just disappear.

Their status page says there is going to be a 30 minute outage on all servers at 6:30AM (EST) to upgrade some core software components. They go on to say they were running 30 minutes late. So now they are either running 60 minutes late or have hit a snag since it's still not up.

    Latest update:

Update2: Itís going to run over time (indeed already has) - upgrading the database didnít go as smoothly as expected. Everythingís fine, but the process will be slower. More like 2 hours.

This would explain my difficulties - - thanks!!

    Thanks for the link.

Thought it would be nice if they would have put that up on the front page and left it up (who knew to go to status.fastmail.fm - other than MarkY of course). Maybe I just didn't read the documentation thoroughly enough regarding planned outages and notifications.

Or sent out some sort of email notifying users of the planned upgrade.

At least they're doing something to keep users notified.

They appear to be backup now.

[edit] Web access looks like it's still down but I'm getting IMAP mail.

    Re: Scheduled maintenence at FastMail.FM

To continue to upgrade and improve FastMail.FM, we are planning a short
outage on one of our servers. Unfortunately during this time you will
not be able to access your email account. Any email arriving during this
time will be queued and delivered to your account as soon as the outage
    is complete.

The reason for this outage is:

    Upgrade software install

We expect the outage to occur at about Sun, 25 Sep 06:30:00 (EST/EDT)
and take approximately 30 minutes. You can see this time in
    your own timezone here:

    http://www.timeanddate.com/worldcloc...&min=30&p1=179

Information about the outage as it occurs will be posted on our status
    blog here:
