I'm running low on cache (I know... who isn't?).

One of the culprits I've found is Aeroplayer. It seems like a small app: 200K for the app, and 100K for the vorbis plug-in. Some other junk, it still comes in under 400K.

But when I run the app it eats up 1.2 Mb of cache.

Is this normal? Does PTunes use this much cache?

    Ideas? Help?

I use Aeroplay all the time and have never had any problems with it. I don't monitor my cache memory. I suggest sending an email to the nice folks at Aerodrome. They have been good about repsonding to me.

ps: Streaming support is in the works.

I asked Aerodrome and this is the reply I got:

AeroPlayer uses available memory to cache audio data for playback.
Without this, your device would not be able to playback audio without
skipping while it loads fresh data from your memory card.

Bummer. Does anyone know if PTunes has a smaller cache footprint? I'm happy with AeroPlayer, but if I can save enough cache, I might switch.
