    Hello,

I had a 600 that had some pictures on it. I went into hotsync to see where the pictures were stored. When I set up the new treo 650 I had it create a new profile just in case since I hadn't turned over the phone line yet.

I synched but it didn't put any of the pictures from the PC to the phone. So I checked and it was set to the new profile directory for picture syncing. So I copied all the pictures from the old diretory to the new and it didn't sync either. So I checked and there was a new Hotsync available for download with the 650.

I reinstalled the hotsync (now at 6.x) but it doesn't even show an option for syncing pictures although it does add versamail. Does anyone know what I need to change?

    Thanks

Launch Palm Desktop and click on the Media icon. At the left top of the Media application, click on the Add Media icon, manuever to the directory that holds your pics, select those that you want to sync and tap OK. Then, make sure that your Media conduit in HotSync Manager is set to "Synchronize".

Thanks - will that add it back as an item in hotsync? Right now, there is no media item under hotsync - just versamail and a couple of others.

Did you install the Palm Desktop from the CD that came with your Treo 650?

Yes, although I didn't open Palm Desktop since I use Outlook for everything.

Right click the Hotsync Manager icon in your program tray and choose About: what version is it?

OK, so you didn't install the Palm Desktop that came with your Treo 650 - that explains it. The Desktop on your Treo's CD includes the extra conduits; the one you downloaded from Palm's site doesn't.

Can you maybe tell us where to get the special missing conduit for the media sync? I am in the same situation as the thread starter... I looked at verizon's website, dont see much there, searched google... it keeps bring up treocentral threads.. but I dont ever see a download spot.

    Any help is appreciated! Thanks.
