Hey all, im jsut wondering what is on your software wish list, namely ones that arent yet made, that you are wishing someone would come out with.

As a gaming man myself, i would like if someone would make a clone of "bust-a-move" (the game with the bubble bobble characters) with IR gameplay. That would seriously, make my christmas a merry one. =)

Also a puyo puyo clone would be great. =)

And if they were freeware that would be the icing on the cake. =)

Ok people, what's on your software wishlist?

Haha BustaMove? The good ol' skip-class coin-op Heeheehee!
My software stocking, you ask?..sure..sounds like fun...
    • Megaman
    • Bionic Commando
    • Tecmo Bowl (updated with stats and abilities DBs for '99-00 season, and each one thereafter)
    • NBA Jam TE (same updates as Tecmo)
    • Leisure Suit Larry (just because)

These are Prism musts. The sports titles (though battery taxing) would be cool 2player IR.
Does anyone remember Capt.Goodnight or Capt.Midnight? from the Apple ][ days? Zaxxon, BumpNJump (or Up'n'Down) 3D games would be alright too. Aside from games, I'd like to see :

    (1) a one touch Hotsync application on my WIN desktop (replacing the use of the hardware button on the cradle or Hotsync application on Palm OS.)

    (2) a revision of Hotsync Mgr where I do not have to set conduits actions one by one if I need to make changes to a few. I should be able to change them all to "do nothing" or "overwrite" (one way or another) simply by highlighting conduits a la shift+arrowkey or control+mouse.

I would like a springboard module that speeds up the sobriety process, and on the odd occasion, cures insomnia
Is that too much to ask?

Anyone know if the old Infocom text-based games are available? I'm too young to actually remember these, but I found the Hitckhiker's Guide game and it was really cool.

P.S. Bust-a-move is THE best game ever made.

I'm still looking for a well designed password storage application that has a well designed Macintosh desktop companion.

Go to palmgear and look up frotz or pilotfrotz. That's the frontend for a bunch of text based adventure games. I know you can get the Zork series for it. Don't know about Hitchhiker's Guide.

I would love to get a Palm OS that supports javascript, 128 bit encryption and scaled down color grpahics. It would eb great if it would allow you to download Palm apps (prs and pdb files) directly tp Visor from the net.

I would like an email program that would allow me to send eyemodule pics (among other things) as attachments

You can get the Zork series which works with either Frotz or Fronbnitz (I prefer Frobnitz over Frotz, it has a few more features to make stylus driven Interactive Fiction easier). They are available for free at:

    http://www.fortunecity.com/underworld/rpg/22/

Many other IF titles are available there as well.

Now where did you find the Hitchhiker's Guide? I've been looking for that (albeit, not TOO hard) for a while now.

    Hey homer,

Have you tried Web Confidential? It has palm and mac apps and a conduit you can buy just the palm version or the mac version or both as a bundle. Check it out http://www.web-confidential.com/

    Mattp:

Yea...I did try that one. The Palm App was OK (I liked it better than Password Store) but I thought the Mac desktop version was sort of clunky and odd. That and it was $40.

So, I went with Password Store. Which is OK, but they never really finished the Mac desktop version. I've basically been doing some serious bug testing for them. It's been about 3 weeks since I bought it, but have yet to receive a working copy that can download AND upload passwords to the Palm.

Ideally, I'd like to use MultiAccounts. I think it is the best Palm interface. It doesn't have a Mac interface, but I might just live with that.

(I think we might be straying off topic with this thread...)

Wizardry VII would be awesome!!! I've been pestering Sir-Tech constantly about it. Zelda (even the original for Nintendo) would be nice as well. I know there are clones out there, but I want the real thing. Especially Wizardry VII. What I wouldn't give to get that for my prism. I think I'll send Sir-Tech another e-mail. Wish me luck, they're up to their eyeballs trying to get Wizardry 8 out. I've been waiting for that for a while, too.

    ****-richardson,

Go get Liberty. You can play Zelda for the GB on it.

I absolutely would love a Showtimes-like program for checking out the local electronics store ads (via Yahoo!).

Specifically, I would like to be able to access the Fry's Electronics weekly newspaper advertisements.

Here was my previous attempt at getting a discussion going on this topic:

(Please excuse me my blatant cross-post. Perhaps I'm the only shop-o-holic/Visor-o-holic in these parts. Yeah, right. )

I'm still craving Pirates!, but I was able to find a desktop version that runs on my G4 (no sound though), so I'm fullfilled for the moment.

Risk is another game I'd like to see.

In terms of apps I want a freeware word processor that can do lots of formatting(I can dream). I'd be happy if it was cheap too, maybe $10 - $20. I don't like spending $40 on Palm OS apps, it gets to be too expensive after a while.

Really! Where do I find it (Zelda, not Liberty)?

    ****-richardson,

well....I don't have an URL for it (anymore), start at Liberty's website and start your search on the websites they have linked on their page.

I've tried Palm Bubbles on my prism. No Dinos or IR, but the concept is still there. It runs slowly. I'm not too big on IR gaming. I'd need another prism player for sure. I'll always remember Bust-A-Move.

Here is a small utility that would be so nice in the interest of automation.

    GOAL:----------
something that would allow me to kickstart my PPPoE dsl connection, download online content, etc... run the hotsync then use something like START.EXE to monitor when the hotsync is done and disconnect. only by pressing the cradle button.

    SUGGESTION:------
maybe a little proggy that hangs around on the PC for the cradle's hotsync button to be pressed just like the hotsync manager but instead of immediately doing a hotsync, it launches a user definable program or batch file and includes a binary that you can run in the batch file to start the hotsync.

If anyone knows of any suggestions for obtaining the goal here, let me know.

If you have a Prism, then Bubble Puzzle is great. It runs quickly and very smooth. The graphics are decent and the colour is sharp. I just downloaded from Palmgear and tried an evaulation demo version. No 'pause' feature in this one. Still no Dinos or IR, but slightly smaller in size than Palm Bubbles. It is already very high on my colour software list.

I want something that will automatically take Datebook items and put them into a Gantt chart format and also provide automatic input into an Outlook calendar.
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice...
