I just bought Snapper Enterprise because I got sick of deleting the same mail on my 2 Macs and my treo650 all day. I upgraded to an IMAP account with my ISP and upgraded to snapper enterprise and configured it to synchronize all folders with headers only (i fetch any email i want in full) and dump to SD card every 3days. I have to say its working great and I have all my email and many custom folders all cloned across the three devices. One email action on any machine is refelcted automtically on the othrs, drafts, deleted, sent etc... 650 IMAP rules!

omoanya - Maybe it's too late, but you should have checked out Chatter if you're a heavy IMAP user. With the beta, you'd get everything you've got with Snapper, plus HTML rendering, SD card support WITHOUT the need to archive, true push, asynchronous operation, etc.

Right, now if I could only get either Chatter OR Snapper (both of which I'm testing for eventual purchase since I'm TIRED of Versamail) configurations to allow me to SEND/REPLY email from my Cox.net POP3 account routed thorugh my T-Mobile account. Pretty much a pain in the **** given that it worked fine in Versamail.

Not sure at this point if I'm just an *****, or T-Mobile is screwing with me, or there's just a problem with POP3 accounts on these more IMAP-friendly apps.

I'll search the forum more, but what suggestions do ya'all have for an email service that allows me to map ALL my 5 (FIVE!) email accounts through one email account configuration in either Chatter or Snapper. (I have secondary accounts with hotmail, netzero, and yahoo for business and personal).

And again, sorry if it's been discussed elsewhere - I'll keep searching the forum for ideas on how best to approach this.

p.s. so far I prefer Chatter (despite persistent battery consumption compared to other apps), but Snapper is close if not for the larger font/viewing on the screen, which is great for use outdoors.

I'm not insisting that anyone purchase Chatter or any other app over anything else. That's their decision. I'm just stating the facts...

Felipe, at least get the spelling right! "Cult of Marc".

It's a testament to Marc (with a "C") that he has this "Cult"

Considering it is cheaper than Snapper, and hands down best support in the biz, it's only natural for people to want to share that experience.

Who dares speak blasphemeously against the scared chatter? whom?

chatter rules, hands down - its so great that no one can seem to contain themselves when a competiing product is mentioned.

what do you call people who are members of the "Cult of MarC ?" - MarCists?

That's no ordinary hat. Oh no, it's a "Fanboy Transmitter" that beams out marching orders to all his followers.

I just did a ##ERR# and last error that occurred on my phone was back on 8/15/2005 while running PalmInternals. I started using Chatter when the stable version V1.0.6.4 was released and never had unexplained reset after I upgrading my Sprint software to 1.12 version. Yes Chatter is stable and I Maintain about 400 messages on the SD card.

booya - The beta is looking very good at this point, and 1.0.6.4 worked well for the vast majority of users. Are there still likely to be some issues for some people with some configurations? It's certainly possible!

Hey Marc, any chance of adding a font-size feature. It's the only thing Snapper has going for it IMHO (although it's a nice simple app for us very busy people to setup).

T-Mobiles' email routing works fine when everything is setup correctly.

The beta allows choice of a larger and smaller font.
