    Hi,

I know about the buzzing in the speakers when a treo is close to a stereo system or the car audio system, but this one is a little scary...

I was using my laptop in the train and was checking my mails on my Treo when I received an incoming call. The call did not come through but, surprise, my laptop was suddenly shut down... Did this happen to anybody else???

    Thanks

Hmmm...does your laptop have bluetooth? If so, have it and your Treo been paired? Were you using DUN via your Treo at the time?

I've had the same problem with my Dell M60 laptop. The laptop would also shutdown when someone close by would turn on a fluorescent desk lamp. Never found a solution or cause.

Yeah, I can't think of anything from the treo that would do that, at least not directly. Sounds like either a fluke or some wacky connection software on the laptop.

It just concerns me that this actually did happen. I work in a hospital and people are saying that the new cell phones are not dangerous, but this made me think... What if that happened while next to a respirator or something like that.

Has this happened more than once? Maybe just a very strange coincidence...

No, just once... But still I was a little shocked...
