Is this item a stereo adaptor or mono??????

No where says stereo, I just assumed it would be. I received one set, it was mono, called TC Store, had them send me out a new one.

Well it too is mono. Am I doing something wrong? I've tried it with two different headphones.

Or is this product mono? Anyone else with this?

Thanks, don't know how I overlooked that.

    They also mention...

"The incoming call ring tone will be played in both ear buds"

    and...

"Listen to phone conversation in both ear buds"

So is there anyone else out there who got these and had similar issues? I guess I'll be calling the nice folks at the Treo Central store again to get another set.

I have this product and had the same problem. I solved it by getting a new phone. It seems that my jack was not seeded properly internally. New Phone=Stereo

    MiteMom,
I have the adaptor from Palm though, and it works fine. Do you think it would still be the jack? I'm open to suggestions.

I was just trying to eliminate it's clunkyness, and carry one set of headphones.

    EDIT:
Don't know if this helps any. When I plug in the headphones, I get the click in the right ear, but when I try to play anything through it, nothing. I only get the left ear.

I tried the headset on my husbands Treo650 too, same deal. WTF?

I've got two of these things sitting on my desk and neither work?

Did a little testing - took the connector out, and slowly inserted it into Treo650's jack -- almost all the way out I could hear the right channel very very softly --- plugged it in about half way and I got both channels but not full volume -- and when I plug it in all the way, I lose the right and get the left quite loud.

I played with the little silver button, just get clicking in the left ear.

I also tried a few different headphones being plugged into the adapter.

I also noticed mine is missing the graphics that the store photo has.

I was ok with the palm adapter as well, the Seidio just seemed more sensitive.

    Hey everyone,
Just wanted to post an update.

The following day I placed a call to Seidio. I waited until 11am EST when they opened and got a very nice gentleman on the phone and inquired about the 2-in-1 adaptor. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing something and using the product wrong.

He originally thought the Treo, but I said I had tried on two different Treos, and had two of these that didn't work.

He then asked me to turn over the piece and read the label on the back. It said PPC-6601. Which he then said, well that's why, you have the model for a PocketPC. I needed one that had a label on the back that said TR-650.

So I called over to the nice folks at TreoCentral store. I was really beginning to feel bad because they have been so accomodating for sending things back.

I talked to a woman and when I told her what the guy from Seidio said, she was pretty pissed. She couldn't figure out why Seidio would send a Treo only store the wrong items.

But, that is for them to hash out.

I thank both companies for being so accomodating and helping me solve the problem.

I got the new one in the mail Friday. It does say TR-650 on the back and works wonderfully.

    Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
