I did some hunting in the forums for an answer to this and came up a short, so if this was answered previously I apologize.

In the Palm Calendar app, how do you set the Default Alarm preset when adding new events on the phone itself. Back when I first got the Treo in December, I know I found a setting somewhere on the phone, but since I had to start completely over (thanks Sprint in-store tech support!), I've only been able to find it on the Palm Desktop software.

I've tried the Calendar preferences (where it's located in the Desktop Software), but the option isnt there. fyi, Im running the latest Sprint firmware (1.12), which I wasnt when I originally set the option months ago. Wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Has anyone else seen this issue or know how I can set it?

    thanks!

it's in a weird place - select the Sounds app (or sounds and alerts from the Prefs app) - select the calendar as the application, then Tones - at the bottom is a default for the alarm preset - check it and set the number of minutes.

Or for individual events, select the event, click on the Details button. You'll find an alarm checkbox.

That's true, but that's not what he asked.

Which would be why I said "Or for individual events..."

    thanks a lot!

For the past week, I had been adding the new events and then manually adding a 0 minute reminder, but that got old real quick.

Thanks geneld! That's exactly what I was looking for, and it works like a charm.

    Cheers,
