My brother lost his Cingular back cover.

Any ideas where I can buy one??

    TIA

I do not know if anyone has come up with the answer to this (there have been other threads) but I would start with Cingular and then Palm.

Maybe Treo Central should contract with a manufacturer to start supplying this "accessory."

    Cheers, Perry

    Or maybe E-Bay. Good luck.

How do you lose something like that??

I don't know, but it looks like there is a market for these. Maybe we could produce in designer colors, as well.

    Try www.dummyphones.com

Send them an e-mail and ask if their housings come with real, removable battery doors or are they glued together with the rest of the housing.

My understanding is that they are mostly glued together, but a hot hair dryer or heat gun will melt enough to take apart. However most dummy treo's are still going to run about $60 - $90 bucks. That's an expensive door.

I want one as well so I can put an attachment for my magnetic clip. One battery cover for the car and one for normal use.

That's exactly what I want to do once I upgrade to a Treo 700.

I am thinking if I tell Palm or Sprint that the battery door is cracked, will they send me a replacement?

did you get you get one of those "As seen on TV" clips? That is what I did, it is the one that has 2 pivoting points and a little piece that sticks to the back of whatever it is holding, metal I think. This little piece goes into an oval magnet clip.

    Simple.
It means reps of both companies are aware of, and read T|C.
So he probably just told them of his intent to defraud. (Unless his battery door really is cracked. He never said it wasn't)
    That's all.

    Just a simple point.

That's what I was afraid of.

Again, they can be "unglued" if you want to pay that price for a bat. cover.

On a positive note, you would have the rest of the case as well if needed.

I can't believe that Palm doesn't have replacement parts. But I guess why sell parts, if you can make 'em buy a whole new phone.
