did you ever get a response - i have the same problem. The dialog box pops up, you click "ok", the message appears as if it did not send, but it does send. It will not appear in the "sent" items - but it does go out.

I have exactly the same issue, and it has nothing to do with semicolons at the end of the address, as in other threads. It may be related to lack of feedback from the ISP that the message was sent, as my treo does not put the successfully sent message into the 'sent' folder.

Anyone from palm know the answer?

I was able to resolve this issue by using cingular's preferred pop 3 outgoing mail server rather than my isp's outgoing mail server.
