    So from what I understand, the symbol that looks like a bullseye next to the bluetooth icon means that 911 is able to locate your phone/location?

    if that is correct, my question would be if some hoodlum stole your phone, would you be able to locate the phone?

    Good luck getting a law enforcement agency to assist in tracking down your lost cell phone.

    I personally don't know. Isn't that what the whole 911 Locator thing is about? But unless you're stranded on a desert isle ala' Tom Hanks I don't think anyone is gonna help you.

    Yes it can be done. Recall a couple years or so the story about the guy in Ohio or something shooting cars on the highway? That shooter I recall was captured by trackng the E911 signal from his cellphone if though he wasn't using it (it was just on)!
