I spent some time reading through the online documentation and noticed that it includes a discussion about a rotate screen preference. I checked and that doesn't seem to be available on my Palm OS/T650 installation. Does anyone have this feature on a Palm system? I would like to do it so that I can mount the T650 horizontally right below the speedo/tach.

    "Rotate screen
If the way you're positioning your TomTom system requires it, you can rotate the display with the preference 'Rotate screen' . Each time you use this, the display will be rotated further, until it's back to its original orientation."

Didn't we already sort of talk about this? You have the exact same post here:

Changing forums and starting a new thread is not going to make an application suddenly appear. Now I don't know about what TOM TOM will and won't do, but to my knowledge this is has not been proven as possible on the TREO. I would love for someone to prove me wrong, but I haven't found one yet.

What?? http://discussion.treocentral.com/im...s/confused.gif Check the other thread.
I think I licked the hand first (to check for seasoning.) Even offered to share the bone I had, (even though it wasn't the bone they wanted) before I chomped. http://discussion.treocentral.com/im...es/biggrin.gif

I don't think it's the same. First the initial post may be missed by folks scanning the site for Tomtom questions and the original post referenced a general application or hack. Your responses to the original thread indicated you don't believe that screen rotation is needed. That's your opinion. There are several others on the site that are interested in it so cool it with the censorship effort. Maybe there is someone out there that knows more than you?

Where is the censorship? And you best be cautious how you use that word!
I have not censored anything. I just stated I thought you were a Goob for not knowing how to search for somthing.
You came into the other thread looking for an app. to do this.
The people who search this board know this is not currently an option for treo users. So disregarding the regulars, you go into another forum and start another thread about the same thing. This is your right. IMHO This still causes clutter, and makes me think that you are a goober. Now what have I censored???

Doesn't merit a response. I can see your level of contribution from you other posts.

Anyways, jrfaris, you may not like his delivery, but the message is true. Currently it is not do-able.

    Ok. Thanks insertion.

The screen rotation from within TomTom5 is only available in the Pocket PC version.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry about the clutter. I suspected that it could be a problem with the NAV5 documentation trying to address both the PPC and Palm formats. While Palm OS may not directly support image rotation, there is nothing to prevent Tomtom from generating their map image with the direction of travel (or viewing) being either right or left. I was just hoping they had done so.
