E-Week, a trade journal, said in it's August 15 edition that Blackberry is coming to Palm OS.

"On the client side, RIM is working to make devices other than its own BlackBerrys run on BES, through RIM's BlackBerry Connect licensing program. By the end of the year, there will be several third-party devices, which run on either Microsoft Corp.'s Windows Mobile or PalmSource Inc.'s Palm OS, enabled to run on BES, Balsillie said."

I notice they don't say by the end of THIS year.
Believe it when I see it.

I'd call this vaporware, but then again some vapors are useful for something.

This has been talked about for ages now:

    http://www.blackberry.net/products/l...t/palmOS.shtml

But which carrier will bundle it with the Treo? It is obviously a carrier limiting decision and that seems to be the major bottleneck at this point...

R.I.P. is more appropriate. RIM will join the ranks of other great Candian Tech Companies such as Corel..

Sicne my company has a BES server I would love for this to be a down load and give the user the ability to decide if they want to use it or not. I cannot use Chatter with my corporate e-mail since re-directing is a no no where I work.

Thanks, dudes, for making me feel old. I remember when the best you could do was a couple of lousey bar charts with Lotus 123, but only if you had a Hercules mono card or (gasp) a CGA adapter, if your name was Rockefeller.

I'll be applying for my Social Security now....
