Can anyone explain to me why it is that the Treo 650's default picture manager is so cumbersome and slow while Resco Viewer is so fast and sleek? What is the essential difference? Are the Palm programers less skilled than the Resco ones? Do they use a different language? Is it that the default manager is hampered by being part of the OS? Just what is it?

My real complaint is that I believe Third Party programs should be bought for their enhanced functionality and not simply as replacements for default apps that are unusable.
