I am very dependant on Butler's attention manager feature. I use my Treo SMS as a substitute for a pager and I need a nag feature if I don't detect an SMS.
    Since installing Chatter:
    1. Multiple LED on and offs at inappropriate times When I open Butler (3.13) the LED immediately resets even if I don't go to the reset LED screen.
    2. SMS popup is supressed despite the fact that I don't have this option checked.
    3. Attention grabber doesn't work. Instead I get the alert asterik in the corner of the screen even though Butler is supposed to supress this.
When I shut down Butler, these all resolve.
I love the E-mail handling features of Chatter but right now its too buggy for me. Any help would be appreciated.

I just disabled all of chatters notification's except for tone. Solved all of my problems, but maybe others will chime in with better solutions.

I have never, ever gotten the LED notification to work correctly in Chatter when Butler is operational. :-(

I have all of Chatter's notifications disabled. I can live without the LED function working as I depend on an audible nag alert. Right now that seems to be working. I'll see how it goes.

It seems that when I disabled Chatters pop notification, SMS now pops up and Butlers attention grabber works OK. Will check out 3.17

I have had the same issues that you guys have been talking about with Butler and Chatter playing nicely. I have the latest beta of Chatter (b31) and likewise of Butler (3.18). I have been able to resolve the problem with them working complementary by using the following setting:

    CHATTER:
SYSTEM: Everything but trust certs and make default is UNCHECKED
    NOTIFICATIONS: ALL led unchecked
    All Pop-up unchecked
    Checked use att manager

    BUTLER:
    LED:
    Default is OFF
Attention Grabber: everything but the last two are checked and set to have a red led

This way when an email comes in the led goes off because of the attention manager alert in chatter but butler is the main handler of events.
    Hope this helps

Doesn't the Treo's attention manager turn the screen on whenever you get an incoming email?

I have the same problem with Butler 3.17 and Chatter - I found that if under notifications in Chatter, check nudge every 30 seconds, with this, at least the flashing green led keeps flashing until I check email.

yes it does but Butler comes to the rescue witht the option to turn off the screen after a variable amount of time. I have mine set to auto-off after 5 secs. 1 sec was too quick for it to work properly but 5 seems to be great.

Where is this option? Can't seem to find it.

Edit- I think you're confusing Butler with Phone Technician?
