What program for the Treo 650 would everyone recommend that reminds one that the ringer is in silent mode?

    SoundOff.

If you'll check the threads on Palm Internals, you'll see that SoundOff is a resource hog. A former user of SoundOff, I now use RingerSwitch.

However, there is a new version of SoundOff coming out that eliminates the resource problem and besides, SoundOff does things that Ringer Switch cannot do and never will do. SoundOff also works on both the 600 and 650.

KeyguardTime+ sort of as well. I have it pop up every time I turn on the screen and there's an icon that shows the ringer status.

If such a version is actually released, I'll switch back.

So bring it on...this issue made me stop using it as well!

Can't wait to go back as i do like it better!

Should have the new version of SoundOff finished this Saturday, barring any unforseen disasters.

Bill, what version of PalmInternals are you using? I cannot get the version I have to work on any of my Palm devices without some sort of reset being necessary after running my version.

I'm using v1.9.46, but check the Palm Internals thread - Igor's recently created a version that shouldn't crash your machine.

    Thanks Bill.

I am also presuming you are using a Treo 650 and not the Treo 600. Is that correct?

    Bill,

Never much look at signatures anymore unless they are on a check delivered by the Readers Digest Sweepstakes truck.

Hmm, same thing I am running. I guess we have also hi-jacked this thread enough for now.

Butler has a new keyguard feature. When you turn your Treo on, there is a symbol idicating that it is in the mute position

I am using zlauncher for this now. It has the ability to have a little speaker in the 'task bar' to show volume slider switch position.

I agree with this app. I wish it did vibrate at a given interval....but I love my new keyguard!!! One of the best customizations of this phone.

Which icon do you use to show the "little speaker" and the status?

Looking forward to the fix as I like it much better than the other also, but switched when I saw how it slowed things down.
Well, it isn't perfect and it makes me crazy, but I still do love my Treo!

You have to install the ZLPlugin Status plugin. Then on the Top/Bot Bar menu, click, choose and choose the plugin (make sure you have enough room or move some stuff around if it doesn't appear.)

The default option for the plugin is for the sound icon, and the other is the bluetooth indicator

Thanks for the response. I'm running zlauncher v5.31 but I do not have (or see) the zlauncher status plugin. Where can I find the plugin or can you send it?

    Thanks!
