I'd say the easy solution is to buy LightWav if you haven't already bought Ringo.

When you enter the Ringtone Edit screen and make choice from the drop down window, one of your options should be Pick MP3 Tune. Touching this choice SHOULD bring you to your default MP3 (/AUDIO); if it doesn't, you can navigate through your SD card by touching the [.] choice. After that, just track down the directory where your MP3s are hiding and Ringo will recognize and use them. Hope you find this helpful.

    one of the problems is
when i open the sd card it doesn't see anything...
    however
like i said the real player will play all the songs that i've dragged and dropped onto the card...
    and on the ringo...
it's not letting me pick mp3 or anything
    same problem with "mring"

I have the same problem: Ringo doesn't see any of multitude of MP3s on my card. I know that the MP3s are there because I am playing one at this very moment on Ptunes. I can use Ringo to walk all through the directories, but it still won't see any MP3s. It used to see them, but after I replaced my phone, it won't anymore.
