Well, there may be other meanings but the one know is "rest of world"

It also means, "Right of Way"...as in the municipalities property along roads and such (it's their property lines). Hey...I'm a civil engineer!

OK - but none of these have to do anything with a Treo phone. ROW has been mentioned all over this board as a type of firmware update or something.

In the 650 context, I take it as meaning unbranded. Not Cingular, not ATT, not Sprint, not Verison. Just a 650 that the Rest Of the World can use.

Yes - its all over this board - ex. ROW v1.30 or people who were using Cingular update changed back to the ROW firmware update.

When it comes to GSM the TLA (three letter acronym) ROW does, without a doubt, mean Rest Of World as in Canada... this is how my carrier software is badged.

    Hey Monkey Joe...

Is it true you are Insertion's long lost uncle?

How does that work anyway??? I'll be a monkey's monkey uncle?

And... (never supposed to start a sentence with the conjunction AND ) because Orange UK uses ROW software revision then it must also mean Really Orange Wireless??
