Hope you don't mind me asking you a question about this......but I have been having major problems with this program. I have been back and forth with tech support trying to get this program consistent with recording. I already had the firewall opened for this program. I am now trying the browser method of recording and so far it seems to be working. Did you have any problems getting this to work? Thanks

Here is my last email to Replay Radio

This sounds like a firewall issue. If you are running personal firewall
software, please make sure that you have given access to Replay Radio,
Replay Tuner and Replay Guide. This section of the user guide may help you
    with firewall configuration:
    http://www.applian.com/replay-radio/...0.php#firewall

If you still have trouble after configuring your firewall, set Replay
Radio's tuning method in settings to "tune by opening browser".

Okay, the choppy recording is gone. I did what you suggested. I still have

major problems though. It is a hit and miss with the recordings. I get the

sound card message popping up with no sound. I get the replay tuner that
says ready and but no recording although it says recording in the replay
center. I do the tuning in as it says to do before recording always and
sometimes it will tune in and other times it will not.

I get lots of dropped recordings every two minutes or so and then it
reconnects. My dsl is fine. Of course, the whole show is not recorded
then. My monitor will not shut off after 15 minutes like it did before
installing Radio Replay. Last night I recorded the Kim Komando show and the

sound was fine and when I went to replay it, a box pops up and says windows
media could not detect sound.....so that show is gone. I also tried the
    other audio methods....no luck.

I recorded a couple of computer shows yesterday.....it says it is recording
but nothing shows up. I recorded the Laura Ingram show this
morning....again nothing shows up. All shows show up in replay center as
recording. Sometimes two shows will show up as recording????

I also tried to archive radio shows to no avail. I follow all the hints
that pop up for me to try but no luck there either.

Wow, sounds like you are having some real issues.

It worked great for me from the start. Basically if you can hear the show fine on your PC when it airs, then it should record fine. Because Replay Radio just records off your sound card.

What format are you saving files to? I use Hi quality MP3 to store my recordings. Never had a problem.

Oh, and Laura's last name is spelled Ingraham . (I'm not sure if she says it wrong or her family founder had a spelling problem .) Anyway her show is great just the same .

Maybe there is some kind of compatibility issue with your sound card and the software? That's about the only thing I can think of.

I did have to use that Enhanced Sound Card Driver. Right now I am recording Bill O'Reilly and everything is fine......using the Replay Tuner. Hmmm you are probably right about a compatibility issue with my sound card and software. I have that built in sound card on motherboard called RealTek I believe. Guess if I keep having sound problems, I could have the PC place install a separate sound card in my AMD Athlon 64 Processor/3400+/2.40GHz. Can this be done?

I am now saving the files to the FM quality MP3. Is that the hi quality you are talking about?

    Laura.....lol.

FM quality MP3 is fine. I use the CD quality setting, but that does not matter. Try and record some of Bill's show. If it does not come out right although it sounds fine live I'd guess a compatibility problem.

Can't say I know much about your built in sound card. The folks you got your PC from should be able to easily install a seperate sound card and ensure your Operating System ignores the built-in sound card in favor of the one they install. (Either via the computer's bios settings or within Windows.) After that re-install Replay Radio so that you are certain it is not using any old settings. Probably want to uninstall Replay Radio before taking the PC to the shop.

This is all just my opinion, I offer no guarantees .

Anyone else with answers feel free to chime in.

Thanks Darnell. I uninstalled the enhanced sound card driver and reinstalled it. So far everything is working but of course that can all change in a minute. Guess I will see what morning brings with this program.

Hey, do you guys know of any streaming links for Laura, Medved, Prager(sp?), or Hewitt? Or is the lack of why you're recording? Thanks!

A fan of the whole Salem family I see .

For Laura live on your Treo you can use KSWM-AM's stream. She airs on their station from 10AM-noon Eastern time. So you would miss the first hour. That's the only live MP3 formatted stream I've found for any of them. And just for telling others about it that stream will probably be shut down once the folks at Salem find out...

Yes, that is why we record the Windows Media or Real versions of their streams.

If you love those members of the Salem family you might want to check out The Bottom Line with Herman Cain on Saturdays from 3-6PM. He airs on Salem station 920AM (WGKA) and they have a live Windows Media stream
