Well, I did a soft reboot, and now I am down to 111/1sec, and the pace is gone. If it comes back, I will post the complete record.

Does no one else have Bulter showing under hede? My hede are 'Butler' and 'Keyshades Hack' and my hvch is 'Phone' My speedtest is 2131 in 21 seconds.

I already killed keycaps650 but really like Keyshades and would like to keep it. It's also built into my custom ROM, so I can't remove it easily.

I wish I could answer that for you. For the last few days at least, I've been able to run 1.9.46 repeatedly without any problem. Before that I had 1.9.2 and it consistently crashed before it got to the main screen on both Sprint/cdma 1.08 and 1.12fw. However, others have had completely different experiences, so it's hard to say.

Figured out how to get rid of the Fonts4OS5 hede routine hook. Just get FontHackV and activate it but don't configure it. The latest version gets rid of the whitespaces in menu bug without a hede hook, unlike Fonts4OS5, which slows you down. Run both together and you have no white spaces and no slowdowns.

Use KBLightsOff instead of Keyshades, it doesn't use hede
  9. #49
There's a "lite" version of keyshades that doesn't hook to the hede. I don't know about Butler.

    That's a great tip. Thanks!

    It does in Auto Mode.

I do but thankfully the performance hit is tiny.

Man, turning KeyCaps600 off put me from 49sec to 1sec. . . is it truely such an evil program?

KB lights off will impact your performance too if you have auto mode enabled. Is there an alternate program to keycaps600/650 that is more processor friendly?
  14. #54
don't think there can be, any program like keycaps is going to HAVE to keep track of every key stroke. . . but now the question is can we have a version of keycaps that can be program configurable so that it only runs in programs like memopad were it's needed and would hardly make an impact.

This is a great idea. Program specific KeyCaps. THeir are other programs out there that are designed to work specificly with programs that you choose so why not KeyCaps.

    Here's mine:

    Treo 600
    Time in tics: 60396
    sec: 605!!!

I listed Notifications but only found one hede- Crystal Popup Suite & disabling it only brought it down to:

    Time in tics: 60299
    sec: 603

So, which other apps should I disable?

p/s: could this be the reason it's so annoying to write memo using graffitti/jot while listening to pocket tunes? I can barely do any writing if I have pocket tunes on bc graffitti/jot reacts so slowly

Or could it be because mine is Treo 600 and so the performance in understandably worse?

Good question. What do you have running under hvch and hpps?

I had written a hack with KeyCaps functionality few time ago. If anyone interested, I can publish it.
