True, Resco Locker's current build does not support panl prc locking yet. I've requested this from Jan of Resco and hopefully will be addressed by Monday (as per his last post at their support forum).

That's your timezone's DST setting; it's from the Date & Time section of the Preferences app. On 11/1/05, that alarm will have changed to a date in April of '06.

    1. Launch Preferences
    2. Tap "Date & Time"
    3. Tap on your Location city
    4. Scroll to the bottom of the list
    5. Tap on "Edit List..."
    6. Select your location city again
    7. Tap Edit.

You must be doing something wrong. When I remove the check mark from the DST box for my location city, that October alarm disappears.

    * Experimental Favorite Anywhere option: when hold is set to L-U-O or L-O-U, that the fourth action will be favorite launch
I just tried 0.5.1 on my Treo 650. Observations:

    1) Shift + arrow only works moving left-to-right, not right-to-left - I'd like it to work both directions (I thought it did in earlier versions)

    2) Shift + center brings up a menu to Copy/Paste/Cmd Bar, but the menu only stays onscreen while center is held down, so you must CAREFULLY rock the 5-way pad down while holding center to select a menu item. Its too hard to do.

    3) Favorites launch doesn't work; in any case I would like that to be a separate option, not tied to L/U/O. If Favorites launch could work by holding down the key, and not send the key to the currently running app, that would be awesome.

I'd probably still recommend the KeyCaps+FieldPlus combination because I like the ability to control the repeat rate, but the volume-key mapping is quite useful...
The volume keys mapping in Butler is almost useless, it duplicates the function of the up/down 5-way pad keys. TreoKeyHack's volume keys mapping acts as page up/down in many cases where Butler would only move 1 line at a time, so its much more useful.

Unlike TreoKeyHack, it's essentially zero overhead as it patches the just the system sound call, and works great.
I wasn't able to find a configuration screen for this hack - am I missing something? It seems to just turn off keyclick.

I've attached the hack PRC that's on my device, which is definitely configurable.

Thanks! I take it that the "Seen" column is checked when that sound has been encountered by the hack?

Resco Locker just updated to 1.04 which now includes ability to lock panl applications such as ScrollJump, Outcall, Fieldplus, TreoNavitext and Bluefang. It aslo reimplemented L attribute on files. PocketTunes now correctly shows as Open Locked (OL) when running in the background.

    doomsey,

Can you further improve ScrollJump and its ability to scroll? Kinda like a mouse wheel function where we can scroll by lines specified.

Congrats on the latest modification of Keycaps! Scrolling speed is just superb and is very fast. I've configured the repeat rate to 50/s but maintained repeat delay to 300ms since I have clippro configured to my enter key.

I have been experiencing problems with TreokeyHack or maybe the beta YAHM eversince I restored my files for my new replacement Treo. I get freezes when Im in Blazer.

Using Keycaps have been trouble free for me with the same operations and conditions. Will post an update as I use it in the following days.

Doing so would essentially require rewriting it from scratch. And for my own use, getting the repeat rate under control pretty much took care of anything I would have wanted along those lines. So I really don't see myself as working on anything ScrollJump like.

Reducing the overhead of FieldPlus and ScrollJump was a trivial modification. Changing what they actually do is not.

Im taking back the request as there's no need for it anymore. Keycaps and the new repeat rate control just works. Thanks for this doomsey!

Hi Igor, any thoughts on my experience with TreoKeyHack?

I see ClipPro is very problematic too. I maily use it for keeping a list of all my recent copy/cut and for park items. Anything similar to this?

What problems have you encountered? I'm using it daily on my Treo 650 but disabled the command bar activation and clip pro menu. I also locked this app using RescoLocker.

    doomsey,

Keycaps scrolling at times lose scrolling capability in Blazer. It also inhibits continued cursor movement between letters.
