    Hello everyone...

Could someone please explain to me what is a "Podcast" and how am I able to use Ptunes with it? I already use PTunes to stream music, but I've seen a few discussions where people mention playing Podcasts and I was just curious.

Is this another way to stream music? Do they have Podcasts sites? Do you connect the same way like you are streaming music?

    Thanks for your help...

Check out MyPodder (http://www.mypodder.org) - its a quick and dirty (free) program for subscribing to and receiving podcasts directly to your SD card (or Treo if you have something like Card Export). PC, with experimental MAC and Linux support.

Can you download the software right to your treo or do you need to always sync to a PC. I would like one that would always send the podcast right to my phone.

We are working on a version that would download right to your phone. But until EV-DO becomes more widespread its really not practicle at this time. Many podcasts are between 15 and 25 megabytes and episode... some more.

QuickNews 1.1 from StandAlone software supports downloading podcasts over the air but they are large so it can take a long time..you can also use it to download and transfer the podcasts via hotsync.
