And how do I schedule automatic resets?
Is this a feature of BBVFS? I could not find it.
    Thanks in advance.

I have never gotten an error while backing up. But with one restore I may get an error that an applications file could not be restored and then after the restore Zlauncher may be configured wrong. So I hard reset and restore again and there may be a different error and then maybe Zlauncher is normal but then come to find out I have to reinstall Xiino web browser because it wasent restored. Its not just backup buddy either, I don't get a complete restore from the hotsync either. I can restore from the computer then realize later that an application is missing.

It's not a feature of BBVFS. I use LookAtMe to schedule two launches of mReset, one before and one after my nightly backup. In addition, I use TreoHelper to schedule the phone off before anything starts and then back on after all is finished. I believe ProfileCare can accomplish the same thing, but I'm cheap - these 3 apps are all free.

Hmmm...It's no surprise that you don't always get a complete restore via Hotsync; not all files have their backup bit set - that's the reason that BB for Windows was written in the first place. As for the ZLauncher/Xiino/etc weirdness? At first it sounds like a problem restoring Saved Preferences; but if that was the case, there'd be a lot more wrong with your restored setup than just two apps' prefs.

Have you tried backing up and restoring using a product other than BBVFS?

I have backed up with megalauncher before but I don't think I ever restored. And oddly enough Uninstall Manager dosent seem to be working correctly. It dosent delete a programs associated files when deleting a program and the sand box isn't launching when I download an app.

Sorry, no ideas on this. I don't use UM, myself; a couple of years ago, I got into the habit of performing a semi-annual "house cleaning", consisting of an inventory of apps on my machine followed by a hard reset and a manual reinstall of those apps (and their data) I wish to keep.

Sorta. Whenever the 'ol 1GB card gets to over 90% full, I'll go through the directories and start jettisoning dead wood.

Backup Buddy Professional never worked for me. After hard reset, all kinds of problems trying to restore. Teal Back from Tealpoint software works perfect with automated backups and restorations after hard resets. Very easy to use as well.

Hey Wolf, did you work this out>? I 'm in the same boat ... osx and want a simple
backup software that will clone the 650 and inserted card at one shot for a later restore ... already lost one 650 and spent 5 days putting everything back on the 1 gig card!!
