According to what I have read, Skype has no plans for a palm version.

One of the significant harms of Palm not delivering wifi on the 650 is that the size of the palm wifi population has been so retarded, that developers ignore us.

Palm wifi users are a such niche subclass, that even Skype has not looked to write to us.

There are reports of a vonage client for palmos:

As far as skype, rumors keep popping up now and then, but nothing definite...

    about Vonnage, you're right --

They are quoted as planning to release a Palm client by years end. I remain skeptical, and will believe it when I see it.

(I was actually lazily paraphrasing what I'd written in that thread.)

    As for Skype:

    http://brighthand.com/article/No_Skype_for_Palm_OS

I have read elsewhere Skype saying with unusual clarity that they have no plan to write for Palm.

when there's a bigger rollout of wifi enabled palm devices (much beyond just the existing PDAs) -- I hope skype responds.

Maybe if the Treo 700 comes with wifi ...

Good article here about using Skype with Treo Bluetooth headset and BT adaptor on PC.

    http://blog.treonauts.com/

I started to try it, seems quite complex, what with virtual serial ports.

Question: Is it possible to have the Treo BT Headset paired with more than one device? It seems that it cannot, so if I want to use a BT Headset with my PC, I have to get another one.

I printed the manual, so we'll see whats involved. Maybe I should just use a regular headset for calls through Skype on a PC?

    Is anyone using Skype?

    Thanks,

    George
