Many of the posting I see here are taking a Sprint Treo 600 and converting to a Verizon phone, which is a logical thing to do. Unfortunately, I need help converting my Verizon Treo 600 and making it work on Sprint’s cell service (with text messaging capability). I hate the thought of this, but the company I work for has switched carriers this week and gave me no choice but to cancel my existing contract with Verizon. In-turn they gave me a regular cell phone with a new Sprint phone number.

Has anyone converted a Treo 600 from Verizon to Sprint? Is it as easy as calling Sprint and having them make the conversion for me? If so what part of Sprint “service” should I call? Any help would be greatly appreciated, because I don’t want to give up my Treo!!!!

    Thanks

I don't think its logical to go from Sprint to Verizon.

I was curious about this too. Maybe its not logical to buy a Verizon 650 with the intent of changing to Sprint, but the poster makes it clear why it is logical for for him. Anyone know if this is possible?

Okay, I have an extra Verizon 650. My brother is on Sprint. Is there a way I can convert this phone so he can use it instead of it just sitting waiting for my other one to break? I've always been told that even though they are both CDMA, they are different bands and phones could not be used on the other's service.

Now, when my 7135 went bad, the store gave me a 7135 they had from Altell as a loaner that worked fine, just always said I was roaming. Not a problem, since I have free roaming. But Altell isn't Sprint. Can it be done? Thanks.
