    On my Treo 650, I have vibrate mode always on. I'm often in places where my treo is on me, but it's so noisy I can't hear the ringer or sms tone, so this is important.

    This works quite well, until I'm in a call and an SMS arrives. The callers report hearing a very loud "bzzzzzzzt" noise as the SMS causes the phone to vibrate. Often, I'll get several or more SMSes in a row. (I have 1500 SMS/month!)

    The problem is that this is quite annoying to callers (often, they'll miss several words or even report the sound is so loud it is uncomfortable and sounds like I'm near a saw or something) and slightly annoying to me.

    Any suggestions? I don't seem to see any easy way to disable this "feature"...

    TreoGuard allows you to turn off alerts during phone calls.
    Handspring Prism ---> PalmOne Treo650
