when the new 3G high speed data rates are rolled out, does anyone know if they will work with the 600?

If you are talking about EVDO, the answer appears to be no. Evidently its a different radio/hardware set up. Just do a search on it...there has been some recent threads on if the 650 will be compatible.

No, the Treo 600 and 650 will NOT be able to use the speeds of any of the new upcoming 3G networks. Very few phones sold today are 3G compatible for that matter.
We can only hope the successor to the Treo 650 might, but we have no idea.

Oh crap, my bad. I meant "WILL NOT"
It should say "No, the Treo 600 and 650 will NOT be able to use the speeds of any of the new upcoming 3G networks."

How the heck did I make that mistake and not notice it? So sorry for that, was an honest mistake. (Wishful thinking perhaps.)
I'm going to edit my orig. post.
