    Shimon,

Thanks for adding that. Looks good.

Though I would prefer to be able to scroll down the days on the main screen, then click the center button to access the detailed forecast for that particular day.

Great feature addition. Very easy to scroll to see the details for the entire week. Clean and simple. Thanks Shimon.

    Hi Shimon:
I am having problems with 4cast updating (manually or regular). It is giving me: "Interface Error Interface PPP0 did not come up." It was working and then now I get that much of the time.
Well, it isn't perfect and it makes me crazy, but I still do love my Treo!

How are you trying to connect to the internet ?
Is it via wireless ? or via HotSync ?

4cast is meant to work only wirelessly.

Not sure what you mean by hotsync. It is just through the Treo, so I guess that would be wireless. It works sometimes and sometimes gives me that error.

    Hi,

When it gives you that error, can you please try to connect to the internet right away (using Web) or read emails, and let me know if it works ?

    Thanks

I've had that same error as well. I think it occurs if you have the Treo radio off (mine is set to shut off at night) and 4Cast tries to connect during that period. I know that I frequently see that message each morning on my Treo650 if 4Cast is set to auto-update.

Nope. That isn't it for mine. I don't really turn the radio off except for the short period I have it off automatically while doing the nightly backup. I also notice that sometimes the auto-refresh works and sometimes (often) it just leaves a red exclamation mark on the far left of the 4cast line in 2Day to let me know it needs to be refreshed.

Can you tell me your settings in 4cast ?

    Thanks.

Refresh set at every 3 hours (sometimes I have it set to every 1 hour)
Refresh all at once is not checked (since I only have it check on one place)
    Disconnect - after refresh
    More info - checked
2Day plugin - all boxes checked (icon, name, time, rotate all)

    Any other settings?

By the way, Shimon, the revisions you did to add the additional info make it even better...so thanks!

    Hi,

The red exclamation mark is there if there was a due update that did not succeed. I would have to know what was the reason for it.

Maybe I should add an option to show results (success/error) of last update in 4cast, so I can try and debug it.

    Hi Shimon,

Does 4cast support proxy server settings already? Apps such as Quicknews and Splashblog have it. I need this to be able to connect too

In order for my treo to connect via gprs and access the web, I need to input proxy server settings for my network preference. From my understanding, 4cast access the web and I was hoping you could add proxy server support too.

I am sorry, but I still dont understand - you mean EVERY application accessing the web need to add proxy preferences within it ?

Yes. Some of us need to use an HTTP proxy in order to reach sites on the internet. Port 80 is not directly open. Apps like Blazer work fine since we can specify the IP address and port of the desired proxy.
