On my Treo 600, I have a speed dial set up with multiple pauses and digits (multi level voice mail system). When I use the built in phone app, it does the pauses correctly. When I do the same from takePhone, it brings up that "Dialing extra-digits on call" box for each pause. What does it take to make takePhone also just 'do' it?

Thanks, (this is takePhone 6.50 build 061)

I Think, (try it) Preferences> palmOne Treo> uncheck "do pauses" hope it helps.

By Preferences, I mean in TAKEphONE...

    Hi,

TAKEphONE handles both "hard" pauses ('p' or 'x') and "timed" pauses ('t' or ',').

"Hard" pauses display the dialog prompting you to allow it to continue.

"Timed" pauses just delay, then continue.

So I guess you should use the timed pauses.

    Thanks !

Well, not quite. When I unchecked 'Do pauses' (any docs on what this is supposed to do?) the window doesn't come up, but the pauses don't happen either. Both ','s and 'p's react the same with the setting of 'Do pauses'.

    I had ','s to start with. I've tried ','s and 'p's ('x's and 't's aren't allowed as extra digits).

So, has anyone set up a speed dial that does pauses and have it work without the window?

    Thanks,
    Dana

"Do pauses" has to be ON - it tells TAKEphONE to handle the pauses itself.

You have to start the call from within TAKEphONE for it to work.

I set up a favourite with XXXXXXXXX,123,456 (XXXXXXX is my home phone number). It called home, when I answered, it dialed 123, paused for a while, then dialed 456. No window on screen.

Doesnt that work for you ?

    Nope.
    Here's what I have:
In standard phone app, create a speed dial entry:
    Label: Testing
    Number: 732-555-1212
    Quick key 'C'.
    More -> Extra digits
    ,123,456
    check Dial Extra digits automatically
    Ok

    Return to TakePhone
    Press C
    Hotkey 'C' Detected
number is dialed, then window pops up for extra digits.

Is this what you did as well?

    Thanks,
    Dana

What version of TAKEphONE are you using ?

In TAKEphONE - go to that entry, select "Edit" and let me know what it shows for number, please.

    Thanks

6.50 build 034 (from the zip file on mytreo.net).

It put an extra 'x' in there!

    Number: 732-555-1212x,123,456

Also, I have no 'edit', only 'open' is a choice from the menu.

    Thanks,
    Dana

    Hi,

Try removing the 'x' in TAKEphONE (the "Open" choice)

Ok, that worked! Now, I guess the 'x' should only get added if the original speed dial did not have the 'dial extra digits automatically' checked?

    But I have a workaround now ... :-).

    Thanks again!

Hmm, well the edit has an interesting side effect. Afterwards, when I return to the phone app to look at the entry, it resets the ring tone to default and checks the 'Image' box (though it doesn't assign an image to it). This is a Verizon Treo 600 with firmware 1.11-VZW. Sounds like there's a disconnect in takePhone's idea of the speed dial entry and Palm's idea.

    Thanks

    Hi,

As I said - this was already addressed - please download the latest version at www.shsh.com/products (or better - www.shsh.com/beta)

    Thanks.

Ok, I just downloaded 061 and it doesn't add the 'x' :-). I tried the edit, and it didn't break anything either :-).

Maybe time to make the version in the zip file 061 as well :-).

    Thanks loads again!
