    Mikey,

Does the Treo Hotsync app startup when you initially press the button or do you need to press it for 5-10 seconds? The button only tells the treo to start, the Treo itself is responsible for sending the signal to the computer that "hey, I wanna sync."

I usually have to hold the button in each time. I've tried to just press the button and release it to no avail.

I probably should have been more clear, but your right. The button on my cradle works fine. When I press it the treo trys to sync. The computer sync software does not start up. I know its still a cradle problem because If I remove the cable and plug it directly into the treo it works fine every time.

The connection is going through TWO sets of connectors. One where the Treo itself sits in the cradle, and one where the cable plugs in the back.

I have 2 OEM cradles that work flawlessly. One of them however seems to have a loose fit on the rear connector. If I move the cradle around my desk it will sometimes not sync until I re-seat the cable.

I guess I'm just lazy... I finally got around to cleaning the male connectors on the cradle - and now it syncs.

The male connectors...IOW, the connectors that make contact with the Treo when you place it in the cradle; I just blasted 'em with compressed air.
